Rebeca Ramos

Founder & Creative Director

Architect, multidisciplinary designer, artist and creative, Rebeca has a versatile approach to creativity. Her international body of work is filled with innovative and culture-defining projects in urban design, architecture, media and the arts.

Rebeca is known for her collaborative leadership of  multi-disciplinary projects. Combining creative vision and her ability to carefully curate and inspire teams, she has created an exceptional body of work. The results are unique, considered and deeply moving projects.

She was behind the design and strategic definition of Google's largest urban campus in San Jose, and led the design and delivery of Maggie's Leeds - Dezeen Building of the year in 2020. She has collaborated with artists Magali Reus to create crafted pieces exhibited at the Stedelijk Museum as well as immersive events with Sebastian Kite. She has led the ideation of a new organisation and building typology with design icon Michael Wolff.

Rebeca was the first and youngest appointed female Project Leader at Heatherwick Studio, and first Latin-American woman to fill the position in 2015. An advocate for creative collaboration, she has been a judge for the “Create the Trophy” competition of the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering since 2017.

In a fast changing culture, the boundaries between the physical and digital have never been more blurred. Our means to connect and express ourselves are expanding.

As our dynamics evolve, so must our spaces and the way we experience them. The physical world has always been slow to evolve. By harnessing the world of the sensory, the world around us can be an endless source of rediscovery.

RARE was born as a response to our times. Combing technology, experiential and spatial design, we define the future of how we experience design and art.
